The figures are quite beautiful. I personally want to work with the human figure, to establish the fragility and stability of reality.

Homework turned Muse
http://www.pbs.org/art21/watch-now/segment-ann-hamilton-in-spirituality
I had to watch this segment for my Alternative Media class. Now don't get me wrong the video was a great insight to Hamilton's pieces, but i was more intrigued with the soapy water that was introduce more towards the end of the video. In my own work I am thinking of the idea of the human body, which is usually perceived as more indestructible and mend able, being more fragile. Most people don't see ourselves as fragile beings, and that thin stream of water that can form shape and flow, was still able to be broken. The whole concept of the water was very intriguing to me in how they used it.
